Videos – Homeland Security Chief says families at border may not be families

Kirstjen Neilsen said that between October and February there was a 315 per cent increase in ‘illegal aliens fraudulently using children to pose as family units to gain entry into the country’ She told a group of sheriffs that ‘we do not have the luxury of pretending that all individuals coming to this country as a family unit are in fact a family.’ Neilsen says DHS is asking Congress to change laws that force HHS to house children who are brought to the U.S. from nations other than Canada and Mexico, and laws that allow asylum-seekers to stay in the country pending long adjudication processes merely by claiming they would be in danger if they returned home.
